As the virtual world approaches reality, do virtual identities define us? "Salmon Chaos" recreates the internet chaos of the Taiwanese "Salmon Name Change" event. ID photos spread across social media, sparking mass discussion.
When viewers interact with the installation, the screen and environment flicker, reproducing the process of identity changing and the behavior of the internet crowd in a psychedelic visual effect. It points out that information is no longer right or wrong, but an unobservable indeterminate state; the internet is an organic life form that thinks and outputs.
